TRAVELODGE CARLISLE CENTRAL, Carlisle (Cumbria) – A Smart Stay in the City

The Travelodge in Carlisle was a decent stay overall. The rooms were standard, although there was a faint smell of smoke upon entering. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the dining service was slow with subpar food quality. The location was convenient with easy access to parking, but the air conditioning was a bit disruptive. However, the hotel provided a homely feel and was surrounded by amenities within walking distance.

Returning to this hotel felt like going back to my old bedroom at my mom's after moving out 30 years ago. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for a good night's sleep, though they needed a good clean to be presentable. The service here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, even bringing food to our room near closing time. The location is ideal for a stay in Carlisle, right in the center, but the dining experience could use improvements to match other budget hotels. Overall, I would 100 percent recommend it and will return.
